The design idea that encouraged the font was based off the uneven circles. This made up the “o, a, d, b, e, c, p, q, and g.” I liked this idea for the width of the lettering. I then changed the idea to be more uniform throughout the letters. The process of using slightly contrasting widths to the curvature of the “o, d, b, p, etc.” I thought this would try conveying the difference with a slight tilt in the curves. The first idea was unique with an open concept to the lettering, but with the closed concept, the lettering is more readable and fits the font design. I wanted to create almost a dainty/whimsical font with smaller thicknesses and unique curves.
